As the colder weather starts to approach, I HAVE to tell you guys all about this beautiful elopement with Eva & Jerome. Not only did they opt to elope, but they did so in this breathtakingly beautiful bed & breakfast. I absolutely love when my couples put their own unique spin on their wedding days and truly make it one of a kind!
The Love Story
Eva and Jerome’s love story truly proves that long distance can indeed work. They met while Eva was traveling to Chicago in 2019 during a solo trip. They met at Emporium, a lovely bar here in Chicago and the pair immediately hit it off. After their first night, they knew that they had to keep this going! It was then their first date and everything couldn’t have gone more smoothly. As Eva’s trip came to an end, they knew that they had to keep the relationship going and so they did! While Eva was attending business school in CT and Jerome working in Chicago, they admit it was a challenge. Especially with the pandemic, things grew a bit tough but they have grown together tremendously and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Bed & Breakfast Winter Elopement
For their elopement, Eva and Jerome decided that the perfect venue would be The Publishing House. It’s a beautiful bed & breakfast housed in a 110-year-old historic building. It combines the warmth of a bed & breakfast while still feeling luxurious with their hotel. It truly is a romantic getaway and I highly recommend checking it out! They chose this specific venue due to the stunning decor and intimacy of the boutique hotel. They also are a huge fan of the Fulton Market Area since it is where they had their first date! It truly felt like the perfect fit for their personalities and was exactly what they were looking for.
Eva & Jerome’s elopement was everything I could have ever imagined and more! After getting ready, they had their ceremony actually in front of the staircase in the common area! You could see just how happy they both were to finally be able to say “I do”. The smile on their faces, the emotions in the air it truly was a tear-jerker moment. After the ceremony, we made sure to snag some shots of cake cutting and of course…celebratory champagne!!! It was important that we truly use every possible location possible to get some amazing wedding portraits as well. So naturally, we of course had to get some shots in front of the beautiful blue front door of The Publishing House. Not only did Eva & Jerome look amazing but get you a couple who celebrates their marriage by jumping on the bed!
Kind Words
“Melissa was really pleasant to work with. She was professional but also fun, and made us feel really comfortable during the 2 hours we were together. The pictures all turn out fantastic as well – she was a master in capturing the perfect lighting!! Would highly recommend”
Thank you so much to Eva and Jerome for allowing me to be a part of your special day and capture such special and intimate moments! Congratulations!! Oh and just letting you know, that if you loved this Bed & Breakfast Winter Elopement, then you’re going to love this Fall Chicago Elopement!
