What started as a quick swipe on Bumble, turned into a happily ever after with Courtney and Jason. From phone dates to face-to-face love connections it eventually grew into something beautiful. Their love story truly is a wild and adventurous one which eventually led to them having this Intimate Chicago wedding at Boka in Downtown Chicago, Illinois!
The Love Story
I know what you are probably wondering, proposal story! What was it? When did it happen? You want all the deets… which I DO have. At the time, Jason was living in Nigeria so he and Courtney agreed to meet in the middle which was London, England! After jetting off to London, Courtney and Jason were headed to a play but of course had to stop at the oldest bar in town, Rules. Well long story short, Jason proposed while both of them were having drinks and the rest was history.
Intimate Chicago Wedding at Boka
We began the day with Courtney and Jason’s first look on the rooftop of The Robey hotel in Wicker Park. After grabbing some breathtaking rainy wedding portraits, it was time for the ceremony. Courtney and Jason had their wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful restaurant/venue, Boka! They chose this location specifically for its timeless decor and intimate garden vibe with an English feel. I mean come on… they did get engaged in London, what did you expect? Courtney looked stunning walking down the aisle in her wedding dress and she even made her own bouquet! Jason’s face as he saw Courtney walking down the aisle was completely unforgettable and one of the most intimate moments of the whole day.
After the ceremony, it was time for the reception and it was equally as magical. The decor was everything that Courtney and Jason were going for and it fit the vibe so perfectly. Can we also talk about that dip during the bride and groom’s first dance? Talk about talent, am I right? A night filled with smiles, laughter and a whole lotta love – it seriously was the PERFECT day.
