Spring Engagement Photos in Downtown Chicago

Being in Chicago, there are so many locations that you can choose from. In Chicago you’re surrounded by buildings that reach towards the clouds and intricate architecture that just explodes with history. There is always places to go to have the most epic photos EVER! Taylor and Matt’s spring engagement photos had the perfect combination of downtown city vibes with beautiful greenery & nature.

Chicago Riverwalk & Lasalle Bridge

In Taylor and Matt’s case, they wanted to incorporate locations that represented them and showcase their own neighborhoods. We first started off at the Riverwalk here in Downtown Chicago. The Riverwalk is one of my favorite places to shoot engagement photos strictly because of the amazing views and architecture. You have some incredibly epic skyline views and overall makes for the most beautiful engagement photos. Of course from the Riverwalk we just had to make our way over to Lasalle Bridge which is always a staple when it comes to engagement sessions. The Lasalle Bridge overlooks the river as well and also has a great walking path to grab some epic shots. Definitely if you’re in Chicago and want some amazing engagement photo locations, head on over to the Riverwalk and Lasalle Bridge… you won’t be disappointed *wink wink*.

Humboldt Park

To finish off their engagement photos, we made our way over to Humboldt Park. The beauty and scenery at Humboldt Park is truly breathtaking and unmatched. This picturesque park has incredible greenery as well as a tranquil lagoon. We made sure to snap some photos in front of the still water and lily pads and really just enjoy the serenity of the park. Choosing to go to a park or somewhere more quiet for your engagement photos can really help get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.

As we finished their engagement session, all I could think about was how amazing Taylor and Matt truly were to photograph. Their love and connection just radiated in person and through the lens. Not only that, but they really were naturals when it came to being in front of the camera. I’m always so honored to meet so many amazing couples while doing this job. It’s one of the many reasons why I love what I do and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
