As the temperature drops and the air gets crisper, love is still in the air in the streets of Downtown Chicago. For Stephanie and Kevin, their love story hits a major milestone right here at Chicago City Hall.
Fall Chicago Elopement at City Hall
We began the day arriving at Chicago City Hall. Stephanie & Kevin exchanged vows and exchanged “I do’s” in the courthouse and while it may not seem “glamorous” there was no need for anything else with S+K there. After, as we were walking down I took advantage of the gorgeous interior architecture of the building. It’s in moments like these where I really get to play around with my creativity with my couples, which I LOVE!
We then made our way outside to get some portraits by the water. Stephanie was wearing this gorgeous dress (seriously that back lace?!) and was flowing so perfectly with the wind. After the river we headed to the South Garden at the Art Institute of Chicago. Surrounded by gorgeous greenery and fountains, it felt straight out of a movie! Seriously felt like it was a scene out of the Princess Diaries (foot popping scene anyone??).
Reception at Big Delicious Planet
Stephanie and Kevin had their reception at Big Delicious Planet. Surrounded by beautiful autumnal leaves along with their close family and friends, they celebrated their love story. If any of you are thinking of eloping and are struggling with the idea of not having your friends/family there to witness the ceremony, what Stephanie and Kevin did is the PERFECT solution. Eloping is a great opportunity for any couples looking for something much more small and intimate but we sometimes face the idea that our friends/family may be disappointed. The great solution to this is having a reception with those closest to you! You’re able to celebrate your marriage while still being able to have the intimacy that comes with a private ceremony with just you and your partner. It essentially is a great way for a win-win scenario for everyone!
The reception was beautiful and so much fun. Stephanie and Kevin really blossomed as they were surrounded by loved ones and were enjoying every second of this blissful day. Thank you so much to S+K for allowing me to capture such special. Congratulations!
